How to Create a BEP20 Wallet: Step-by-Step Guide
Creating a BEP20 wallet is simpler than opening a bank account. This step-by-step guide walks you through how to set up a secure BEP20 wallet address in minutes.
Step 1: Download BEP20 Wallet App
Download the BEP20 Wallet App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). The app is free and requires no registration or KYC verification.
Step 2: Create a New Wallet
Open the app and tap "Create New Wallet." The app will generate a cryptographically secure 12-word recovery phrase (also called a seed phrase or secret phrase). This is the master key to your wallet.
Important: Write down your recovery phrase on paper and store it somewhere safe. Never share it with anyone or store it digitally. If you lose your device, this phrase is the only way to restore your wallet.
Step 3: Set Up Security
Enable PIN protection and, if available, biometric authentication (Face ID or fingerprint). This adds an extra security layer so only you can open the app on your device.
Step 4: Get Your BEP20 Wallet Address
Your BEP20 wallet address is automatically generated once the wallet is created. It is a string of 42 characters starting with "0x". This address is public — share it freely to receive BEP20 tokens from others.
Step 5: Add BNB for Gas Fees
To send BEP20 tokens or interact with DApps, you need a small amount of BNB in your wallet to pay network (gas) fees. BNB Smart Chain fees are typically $0.01–$0.05 per transaction. Transfer a small amount of BNB from an exchange to get started.
How to Import an Existing BEP20 Wallet
If you already have a BEP20 wallet, tap "Import Wallet" and enter your 12-word recovery phrase or private key. Your wallet and all its tokens will be restored automatically.
